Phelps Family

I'm way behind on my photo blogging. So I'll start with my latest and go from there.  The Phelps Family. What can I say about them… Well they take really good pictures-- I should know they took mine ;)  O and they look good in pictures too. Their two girls are as different as different can be but both as sweet as lemon pie from mama's kitchen. The sitting went well until Sherrae reminded me it was her girls bedtime-- Holly Cow they were crazy about that time. So we shot a few funny ones for the books and wisked them home to bed.  Come back again Phelps-- You're the greatest!

Ruganis

This shoot turned out great. The weather was threatening rain (again).  But the rain did not come.  The kids were easy to pose and really cute with each other. And the parents… they were pretty well behaved too ;)  We did this shoot at Memory Grove. I don't use a lot of sepia in my editing but this family seemed to scream sepia-- so enjoy!

The Willey's

I give this family an A++ on their sitting. Getting lots of kids to smile at the exact same time is not easy... but they were prepared. If you looked closely you'd see skittles being passed out for good behavior. Now I am not a proponent of bribing kids unless it is an emergency.  And family pictures are an Emergency ;)  This shoot was downtown Ogden in a trucking yard-- that by the way gets so many people wanting to take pictures there they charge $25. The weather was beautiful and the company was excellent. The Willey's are dear friends of mine.  We're sooo close I sometimes tell people that I got my good looks from them.  We've been neighbors since the beginning of time. I love you guys!!!

On top of the world and just about to graduate. Being a senior is like being a newborn. They have so much in front of them-- no real mistakes yet (hopefully ;).  They can be anything! I loved taking TJ pictures. He is one good looking guy and easy to get along with. We took the pictures at the train station in Ogden on a saturday afternoon and within minutes of finishing up the sitting the rain started to pour. The earlier clouds provided great lighting, so I couldn't have asked for better weather. 

The Park Family

 So first of all these kids deserve an audible round of applause… the toughest pictures to take are small toddlers with a newborn. Think about it. Who holds the newborn and the kid holding the newborn is so small he/she gets hidden behind the baby.  The little guys did wonderful! The two younger boys are twins and they pulled some of the cutest expressions -- while waiting for the rest of the group to get organized. The baby is of course our main subject in the photo shoot. Amelia is so precious and was always ready to smile when asked. The parents even got in on the shoot at the end and they turned out to be just as photogenic as their kids. Way to go Park family. O interesting fact I learned from mom in this sitting: babies will grab their feet at four months old-- so this is the best month for those kind of shots.

Brody & Family

So you guessed it. Another newborn shoot!  It's pouring newborns!  Doesn't this blog just make you want to go out and make/have one ;)  OK, I'll behave, my hubby would give me a look for that one.  Back to the sitting. The baby pictured in this photo shoot just happens to be my baby's best friend (or is that my best friends baby, I can't ever keep it straight).  Brody is a doll and a part of a really cute family. So I've included a few shots of his family that I took along with his newborn sitting. This sitting was full of fun and trauma. The fun was the baby and his toddler brothers who couldn't but help get in the pictures.  The trauma was afterwards when their mom found a paint bucket, which was bumped by one of the kids, overturned on the kitchen floor.  Mom had been repainting before I stopped in for the sitting. After we barricaded the toddlers from the puddle of paint, and cleaned up we crashed in her family room and decided - this mommy work is tough…  But well worth it as you can see from the pictures of these adorable boys & girl.
